We are a group working at the interdisciplinary frontiers of synthetic biology and synthetic chemistry. By integrating biology, chemistry, and engineering, we are developing synthetically useful biotransformations for the biomanufacturing of value-added products.

We are currently working on these projects in our lab.

(1) Design and development of new-to-nature biocatalysis;

(2) Design biomimetic asymmetric catalysis;

(3) Chemo-enzymatic synthesis of chiral drugs and building blocks.
