Key Laboratory of Environmental Toxicology Nantong
Nantong University School of Public Health
Introduction :
The Environmental and Health Research Team of the School of Public Health of Nantong University was established in 2016. In 2020, it was approved by the Environmental and Health Research Institute of the School of Public Health of Nantong University. In 2021, it was approved as the Key Laboratory of Environmental Toxicology of Nantong City. The laboratory has a research team of more than 50 people composed of professors, associate professors, lecturers, doctoral students, master students and undergraduate students. In recent years, in-depth research has been carried out on the respiratory toxicity, neurotoxicity, and developmental toxicity of particulate matter, heavy metals, and POPs, and rich research results have been obtained. In addition, using population and bioinformatics data analysis, important research results have also been achieved in the study of the impact of environmental particulate matter and heavy metals on chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes and non-alcoholic fatty liver.

Xinyuan Zhao
PhD Tutor Associate Professor
Introduction :
Zhao Xinyuan, male, holds a Ph.D. in Medicine. He serves as the Deputy Dean of the School of Public Health at Nantong University, a Professor, and a doctoral supervisor. Additionally, he is the Executive Director of the Key Laboratory of Environmental Toxicology in Nantong City and the leader of the Environmental and Health Research Team. He has been selected for the Jiangsu Province 333 High-Level Talent Training Program, the Outstanding Young Faculty in the Jiangsu Province Blue-Education Project, and the Elsevier Top 2% of Global Researchers by Citations. For years, he has conducted foundational research on the toxic effects and mechanisms of environmental pollutants. As the primary contributor, he received one Jiangsu Provincial University Science and Technology Achievement Award. Over the past five years, he has led projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (General Program), the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Youth Program), and the Provincial Natural Science Foundation (General Program). As the first author and corresponding author, he has published over 80 SCI papers in journals such as *ACS Nano*, *Journal of Nanobiotechnology*, *Environmental Pollution*, *Cell Death & Disease*, and *Toxicology*. Among these, four papers have an impact factor (IF) exceeding 10, with over 20 papers classified in Zone 1 and more than 40 in Zone 2 by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has also been granted two national invention patents as the primary inventor.

Xiaoke Wang
Professor of Medical Doctoral Program for High level Talent Introduction at Nantong University
Introduction :
Wang Xiaoke, female, holds a PhD in Medicine from the School of Public Health at Huazhong University of Science and Technology and a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in the United States. I am currently working in the Department of Occupational Medicine and Environmental Toxicology at the School of Public Health, Nantong University. I am the department head, professor, and master's supervisor. He has successively presided over multiple provincial and ministerial level projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation Youth Fund, Jiangsu Provincial Natural Science Foundation Youth Fund, and Jiangsu Provincial University Natural Science Foundation General Project. In recent years, as the first author and corresponding author, I have published over 20 SCI papers in journals such as Particle and Fiber Toxicology, Toxicological Sciences, Environmental Pollution, ACS Nano, and Free Radical Biology and Medicine, as well as 10 papers in the second district or above of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Currently serving as a member of the Youth Committee of Basic Toxicology of Jiangsu Toxicology Society, a director of Jiangsu Environmental Mutants Association, a member of Jiangsu Environmental Hygiene Professional Committee, and a member of the Endocrinology Society of Nantong Medical Association.

Peng Xue
Associate Professor, School of Public Health, Nantong University
Introduction :
Xue Peng, male, graduated from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany (one of the top European polytechnic universities and one of the first three elite German universities) with a doctor's degree. He is now an academician of the CAE Member, a member of the scientific research team of academician Liao Wanqing, director of the Institute of Dermatology and Mycosis of Naval Military Medical University, chairman of Guangzhou Oriental Academy of Mycological Disease Prevention and Control Technology Transformation, member of the World Chinese Medical Fungal Society, member of the European Society of Photobiology, and member of the Jiusan Society. Starting from September 2023, Nantong University will introduce high-level talents and appoint associate professors from the School of Public Health. Currently, I am leading multiple important projects with a total budget of 2 million yuan, including the Academician Workstation Project, Jiangsu Youth Fund, Jiangsu University General Project, Nantong Youth Fund, and Nantong University Talent Introduction Start up Fund. 17 SCI indexed papers have been published, with 10 published as first or corresponding author in the past five years. His representative works have been published in internationally renowned journals such as Current Opinion in Microbiology, Fungal Biology Reviews, mSphere, and FEBS Letters.

Yuanyuan Ma
Deputy Director of the Department of Occupational Environment at Nantong University
Introduction :
Ma Yuanyuan, female, graduated from Kiel University in Germany with a doctor's degree (there were seven Nobel Prize winners who taught in the university), is now a member of the scientific research team of academician Liao Wanqing, director of the Institute of Dermatology and Mycosis, Naval Military Medical University, CAE Member, director of Guangzhou Oriental Academy of Mycosis Prevention and Control Technology Transformation, and member of the European Society of Experimental Biology (SEB). Starting from October 2023, Nantong University will introduce high-level talents and serve as the Deputy Director of the Department of Occupational Medicine and Environmental Health at Nantong University. I am leading multiple projects with a total budget of 2 million yuan, including the Academician Workstation Project, the Guangxi Provincial Key R&D Program Sub Project, and the Nantong University Talent Introduction Start up Fund. In terms of academia, I have published 12 SCI indexed papers and have published 7 as first author or corresponding author in international journals such as Communications Biology, Aquatic Toxicology, and Current Microbiology in the past five years.

Demin Cheng

Introduction :
Cheng Demin, female, holds a medical doctorate and is a high-level talent introduced by Nantong University, where she serves as an associate professor. She has conducted basic research on the respiratory toxic effects and mechanisms of environmental pollutants for many years. In the past five years, she has led projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) for young scientists, the Provincial Natural Science Foundation of China for young scientists, and the Nantong Natural Science Foundation for young scientists, and received the third prize of the Nanjing Preventive Medicine Science and Technology Award. As the first author and corresponding author, she has published over 20 SCI papers in journals such as Journal of Hazardous Materials, JCI Insight, Journal of Translational Medicine, Toxicology, International Immunopharmacology, and Comprehensive Physiology. Among them, 2 papers have an Impact Factor (IF) above 10, 3 papers belong to the first quartile of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and over 10 papers belong to the second quartile.

Introduction :
Xu Haotian, male, Ph.D. in Medicine, is a high-level introduced talent at Nantong University. He has conducted extensive fundamental research on respiratory diseases induced by exogenous chemicals. In the past five years, he has published eight SCI papers as the first author or co-first author in journals such as Journal of Experimental & Clinical Cancer Research, Molecular Cancer, Journal of Translational Medicine, and Cell Biology and Toxicology. Among these, three papers have an impact factor (IF) exceeding 10, four are classified in the first zone by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and three or more are in the second zone.

Jinlong Li

Introduction :
Li Jinlong, male, Han ethnicity, born in July 1988, holds a PhD, associate professor, master's supervisor, and is a scholar from Xiangjiang. Focusing on the discovery and mechanism research of active natural products related to metabolic diseases, as well as computer-aided protein homeostasis regulation drug design. Discovery of novel active natural products based on activity oriented separation strategies, and study of their direct target groups through interdisciplinary strategies such as chemical biology, targeted protein degradation genomics, molecular biology, and gene intervention. Combined with computer-aided strategies, drug design research targeting the target groups is carried out. Published 17 SCI papers as the first author and corresponding author, and granted 4 invention patents.

Jun Yu
High-level talents introduced by Nantong University School-appointed professor
Introduction :
Nantong University has introduced high-level talents, school-appointed professors, independent PIs, master tutors, and is mainly engaged in clinical and basic research related to reproductive medicine.
He is currently a member/youth member of several national/provincial academic groups, presided over/participated in several national, provincial and municipal projects, and has published more than 30 SCI papers. His representative works have been published in Nature Communications, Redox Biology, Human Molecular Genetics, Development, FASEB Journal, Cell Proliferation, Cell Death Disease and other magazines.
Currently serving as a reviewer for several SCI journals such as Gene, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Microbiome, Cell Death Discovery, Journal of Genetics and Genomics, Cell Cycle, etc.

Introduction :
Doctor of Medicine, Associate Professor, Director of the Research Department at Jiangxi Medical College, and Head of the Key Laboratory of Heavy Metal Health Hazards and Biological Control in Shangrao City. In recent years, I have led one regional project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one regional project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one general project funded by the Jiangxi Provincial Natural Science Foundation of China, one youth project funded by the Jiangxi Provincial Natural Science Foundation of China, one science and technology project funded by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education, one science and technology project funded by the Jiangxi Provincial Health and Family Planning Commission, and one ongoing project funded by the Shangrao Science and Technology Bureau. Introduction :
Yali Zhang, female, Associate Professor, Master Professor, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, School of Medicine, Nantong University, Nantong, China, graduated from Zhejiang University in 2012 with a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and will conduct research on the application of phosphorylated proteomics to disease mechanism as a visiting scholar in the group of Prof. Weiguo Tao at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Purdue University, USA, from 2019 to 2020. She has presided over one national, one provincial and one municipal project, and published 10 SCI research papers as the first author or corresponding author.
