I am a biochemist with expertise in finding protein-protein interactions using proteomics approach. I also gained electrophysiological training while working at the Cystic Fibrosis Center at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. My primary research interest is; 1. Studying the ubiquitin conjugation of voltage-gated calcium channels such as L-type and T-type channels. 2. Identifying protein partners that regulate this post-translational modification, particularly ubiquitin ligases and proteases. 3. Understanding how neuro-inflammatory interactions lead to neuropathic pain, the output of these studies may result in novel specific therapeutic approaches.
