主要聚焦于运用人口、资源与环境经济学、区域经济学、生态环境科学、计算社会学与行为学等的理论和方法,集合现代计算机科学、地理信息与遥感科学、数值量化模型、智慧决策支持理论以及可视化技术等,围绕城市与区域绿色发展相关的各种基本问题与挑战及其科技战略决策展开深入研究。研究的具体领域包括但不局限于:人口、资源与环境经济学以及区域经济学研究,包括城市与区域生态环境系统、城市水灾害、低碳能源量化模拟、城市人口资源环境问题的大数据分析与智慧治理、城市土地利用与环境变化研究与模拟、智慧城市、基于CGE模型的城市区域一体化绿色增长模式与决策支持研究、结合大数据分析与云计算技术的先进城市绿色发展综合科技战略决策支持系统研究等
