BSc Chemistry and MSc Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Bucharest (Prof Marius Andruh). PhD in Transition Metal Chemistry from the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Romanian Academy (Dr Luminita Patron & Prof Marius Andruh). Postdoctoral studies at ICMCB Bordeaux (molecular magnetism, Dr. Jean-Pascal Sutter) and The University of Manchester (transition metal and lanthanide chemistries, Prof Richard Winpenny; phthalocyanine chemistry, Prof Neil McKeown; EPR spectroscopy, Prof Eric McInnes & Prof David Collison). EC Marie Curie Individual Fellowship at the University of Warwick (supramolecular chemistry, Prof Michael J. Hannon).
