个人简介

2014- Professor, Xiamen University 2013-2014 Associate Professor, Xiamen University 2011-2013 Postdoc fellow, Yale University, USA 2006-2010 Ph.D., Washington University in St. Louis, USA 2002-2006 B.S., Xiamen University, China Hai-Chao was born in 1983 in Hunan, China. He obtained his B.S. in Chemistry in 2006 from Xiamen University and a Ph.D. in Chemistry in 2010 from Washington University in St. Louis (USA) with Prof. Kevin D. Moeller. After postdoctoral work with Prof. Jonathan A. Ellman at Yale University (USA) from 2011 to 2013, he moved backed to Xiamen University to start his independent career. His research focuses on synthetic electrochemistry.

Our research goal is to develop sustainable redox reactions for organic synthesis using organic electrochemistry. We are particularly interested in developing methods for the oxidative activation of simple and stable chemical bonds/small molecules for the generation of synthetically useful carbon- and heteroatom-centered radicals and application of these reactive intermediates for new reaction discovery.
