Our research is focused on computational materials modeling (current main areas: metal-organic frameworks and polymer membranes) for energy, environmental and pharmaceutical applications (e.g., carbon capture, water treatment and solvent recovery). The objective is to provide microscopic and mesoscopic insights from bottom-up into important physical and chemical processes, to bridge the gap between physical sciences and engineering applications, and subsequently to assist in the rational design of new materials for engineering applications. The research is in the multidisciplinary field of materials, chemistry, physics and engineering.
