Zhenxing Liang PhD, professor, NSFC Distinguished Young Scholar School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, South China University of Technology
Prof. Zhenxing Liang, NSFC Distinguished Young Scholar, Vice Dean of School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Director of Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Fuel Cell Technology. He received his Bachelor's degree (2001) in chemistry from Shandong University, MPhil degree (2004) in Physical Chemistry from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (CAS), and Ph.D. degree (2008) in Mechanical Engineering from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He has been committed to develop clean energy production and storage technologies for over 20 years. He has made seminal contributions in the areas of electrocatalysis, fuel cells, flow batteries, sodium-ion batteries. He has published over 90 research papers in prestigious journals. He received Natural Science Award (Ministry of Education of China) in 2010 and Pearl River S&T Nova (Guangzhou Government) in 2012. In the international community, Prof Liang serves as Associate Editor of Chinese Journal of Catalysis (Elsevier, 2020-). He worked as the rotating program director in Energy Chemistry in National Natural Science Foundation of China between 2018 and 2021.
