Tao Zhang Prof. Dr. Molecular Imaging and Therapy
Dr. Zhang Tao received his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry and Biomedical Sciences from Nanjing University in 2017, followed by a postdoctoral study at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School of Medicine. Since March 2021, he has been introduced to Nanjing Medical University as a high-level talent to carry out independent scientific research, and served as the director, independent PI and graduate supervisor of molecular imaging and therapy Lab (MIT Lab). His research interests are the chemical biology foundation of clinical major diseases and precise diagnosis and treatment research guided by molecular imaging.So far, he has published over 30 SCI papers in many high-level journals, applied for 1 US patent, and 3 Chinese patents. Among his research results, a molecular imaging probe (18F-VS-PSMA) has been clinically transformed. He has received excellent master's thesis from the province, first-class doctoral scholarship from Nanjing University, etc. In addition, he guided extracurricular academic research among college students, participated in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions, and won first prize in innovation achievements and excellent thesis awards at the National Pharmaceutical Forum.
