Wenbin Du Professor Single-cell Analytical Microbiology
Wenbin Du received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Zhejiang University in 2007, and continued his work at the University of Chicago as a postdoctoral research fellow. He became a research fellow in the Department of Chemistry at Renmin University of China in Beijing in 2011. He joined the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2013. His research lab specialized in microfluidics and analytical microbiology applications. His research interests spans a broad range of Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Microfluidics, including to provide better approaches to improve the cultivation of uncultured microorganisms, to study the diversity, functions and evolution of complex microbial communities, and to advance clinical pathogen diagnosis and biosafety testing.He has authored more than 90 peer-reviewed papers and more than 40 Chinese and US patents.
