He received his undergraduate degree in chemistry at the Linyi Normal University. In 2012, he completed his master thesis under the supervision of Professor Long Lu and Qilong Shen at the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He then moved to Institute of Chemical Research of Chemical Research to pursue his doctoral degree under the direction of Professor Ruben Martin before undertaking a postdoctoral position with Professor Stephen Buchwald at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2016). He began his independent career at Hunan University in August of 2017.
