Xianghui Qi, Professor, Ph.D. Xianghui Qi, Professor and doctoral supervisor of Guangzhou University, Leader of Microbial Biosynthesis and Intelligent Manufacturing team, High-level talent of Jiangsu Province, "Minjiang Scholar" Distinguished Chair Professor of Fujian Province. He is mainly working on synthetic biology including both basic and applied research, and has presided over 10 national-level research projects, including the National Key Research and Development Program, National Natural Science Foundation, and international cooperation. He has published over 200 papers, including more than 100 SCI papers as the first/corresponding author. He has severed as an Editor-in-Chief of 2 English book published by Elsevier and has published 9 book chapters of Springer Nature/Elsevier. As the first inventor, he has applied for more than 30 Chinese invention patents and 2 PCTs, in which more than 20 patents have been authorized. He has served as a deputy Editor-in-Chief, an editorial board member, and a guest editor of a good number of international journals, and evaluated many national and international research projects as an expert, including the Key R & D Program in China. He teaches some core courses in both Chinese and English modes, which include "Microbiology", "Enzyme engineering", "Synthetic biology", "Genetic engineering" and "Biochemical engineering" for undergraduate students, and "Advances in Biotechnology" for graduate students. He has won 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, and 1 third prize for various provincial-level achievements in Jiangsu Province, and multiple honorary titles, such as Jiangsu Excellent Graduate Thesis Advisor, Jiangsu University Excellent Teacher, and Excellent Research Supervisor.
