Principal Investigator
Kai Wang
PI
Introduction :
Dr. Kai Wang is an independent principle investigator (PI) at Huanjiang Laboratory and School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Zhejiang University, under the "Hundred Talents Program". He has received National High-Level Young Talent Award (Overseas) (2023), "Innovators under 35" (TR35) (Asia-Pacific 2023), and Zhejiang Provincial Outstanding Youth Science Fund (2024). He obtained his Ph.D. from the polymer engineering at the University of Akron, conducted postdoctoral research at Virginia Tech and served as a assistant research professor (PI) at Penn State. Currently, his research interests include innovative study of multi-physical field coupling principles (e.g., force-light-electric-heat) in the design, manufacturing, and application of new materials, covering cutting-edge areas such as soft lattice optoelectronic materials, flexible solar cells based drones, and bio-flexible sensors & biomimetic soft robots.
