Jing-Jing Zhang Associate Professor Chemical Biology_DNA Lab

JingJing Zhang is an associate professor in the school of chemistry and chemical engineering in Nanjing University. He received his Ph.D. degree in chemistry from Nanjing University in 2010 with Prof. Jun-jie Zhu. After two years of postdoctoral research in Nanjing university, he moved to Prof. Yi Lu’s group in UIUC as a postdoctoral research associate before joining the Nanjing university in 2019. Dr. Zhang was selected for funding under the National Major Talent Project Category A (Youth Program) in 2018, recognized as a Jiangsu Provincial "Double Innovation" Talent in 2020, and as a member of a Jiangsu Provincial "Double Innovation" Team in the same year. Dr. Zhang also serves as an international editorial board member for Scientific Reports, Processes, and Journal of Clinical and Translational Research. Dr. Zhang has published 74 SCI papers (51 first-authored or corresponding author), and two United States Patents, related to Chemistry, Materials, and Biology in international peer-reviewed journals such as J. Am. Chem. Soc. (2), Angew Chem. Int. Ed. (3), Nano Today (1), Chem. Sci. (4), Clin. Chem. (1) of which some are ESI Top 1% highly cited papers (3), cover papers (6), VIP paper (2), and ACS Editors' Choice (1). Google Scholar Citation:4, 705; H-Index: 35 (July, 2024). His research interests focus on CRISPR-based diagnostics, in vivo imaging, and new drug development based on targeted protein degradation.
