Hui Zhou, recipient of the National Youth Talent Program in 2023, was also selected for the Hubei Province High-Level Talent Program in the same year. She is a "Guizi Scholar" Distinguished Professor at Central China Normal University, a research group leader (PI), and a PhD supervisor. She obtained her bachelor's degree from China West Normal University in 2011 and her doctorate from the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2016. From 2016 to 2017, she conducted postdoctoral research at Mississippi State University in the United States. From 2017 to 2023, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Coal Research in Germany, under the mentorship of Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, Professor Benjamin List. Late in 2023, she joined the College of Chemistry at Central China Normal University to pursue independent research.
Her research interests include asymmetric organic synthesis and AI-assisted reaction design. To date, she has published 30 academic papers, with 16 as the first author or corresponding author in internationally renowned journals, including Nature (1), Nat. Commun. (1), J. Am. Chem. Soc. (4), Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. (1), ACS Catal. (2), and Chem. Sci. (1).
