Qihui Zhou Professor/PI Zhou Group, University of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences
Dr. Qihui Zhou is a Professor of University of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, Master tutor, Deputy Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Committee, School of Stomatology, guest associate editor/special editor of the Journals Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology (IF: 5.89, Cas Category II) and Frontiers in Chemistry (IF: 5.229, CAS Category II) and Leader of Outstanding Youth Innovation Team in Shandong Province. In 2018, he joined the Institute of Translational Medicine of Qingdao University and established the Laboratory of Biomaterials and Translational Medicine. The research direction is guided by the practical rigid needs of clinical practice, with the help of multidisciplinary intersection of chemistry, materials science, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, cell and molecular biology, clinical medicine, etc. Advanced biomedical materials are used as tools to carry out basic and applied research on biomaterial interface and (stem) cell interaction, controlled drug release system, tissue repair and regeneration (focusing on skin, bone, muscle, tendon, heart and vessel) and anticancer.

He is working on the development of advanced biomaterials with unique chemical, physical, and biological properties to assist the diagnosis and therapy of challenging diseases, such as cancer, sepsis, tissue injury and defects. The clinical translation of our biomaterials-based strategies is the ultimate goal of our group.
