Journal of Biological Dynamics is an open access journal that publishes cutting-edge research analysing dynamic models that arise from biological processes.

Journal of Biological Dynamics focuses on dynamic phenomena at scales ranging from the level of individual organisms to that of populations, communities, and ecosystems. The journal publishes papers that focus on model development and the mathematical analysis of models (although not analysis by means of numerical simulations alone). Papers should clearly state the motivating biological issues being addressed as well as the biological conclusions that result from the analysis. Papers that, in addition, related models to experimental and observational data are particularly welcome.  

Journal of Biological Dynamics covers dynamic phenomena in the following topics:

    Ecology and evolutionary biology
    Population dynamics
    Epidemiology
    Immunology
    Neuroscience
    Environmental science
    Animal behaviour

Papers in other areas are acceptable at the editors’ discretion.

Journal of Biological Dynamics accepts original articles, short notes, expository and review articles, open problem and survey articles, and book reviews.

Peer Review Policy
All submitted manuscripts are subject to initial appraisal by the Editors, and, if found suitable for further consideration, to peer review by independent, anonymous expert referees. All peer review is single anonymized and submissions can be made online on the Submission Portal.
