Immunology has advanced to the point where its published contributions threaten to overwhelm the community they should serve. This journal, publishing brief, didactic interpretations of contemporary research, as well as original articles meets the need for authoritative guidance through the vast literature now confronting the immunologist.
Edited to serve as an information resource, as well as a conventional medium for novel and innovative original research reports, the journal introduces a format of interpretive synthesis reviews authored by investigators who discovered many of the findings they report. It is designed to integrate contemporary research and clarify the position of current scientific investigation. The journal’s distinct function is further underscored by the large number of concise reviews included in each issue and direction of the interested reader to a host of key original scientific articles.
Immunologic Research maintains a balance between experimental and clinical data in practical and theoretical aspects of immunological investigation. It is a critical time-saving resource for the presentation of late breaking immunological advances in the expanding arena of biomedical research.
The scientific content is under the control of a Board of Editors with expertise in a broad spectrum of immunological subspecialties. The collaboration of these editors greatly supports the goal of informing readers on a comprehensive level.
