During 2005 to 2008, I worked in the Yellow Sea Fishery Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences as master student. My main projects include gene cloning and expression profiling of genes associated with pathogen resistance, muscle development and sex differentiation; genetic markers (SSR, RFLP, SNP) development for breeding; characterization of fish bacteria; BAC (bacterial artificial chromosome) library construction and positioning cloning; SNP association analysis of genes related to resistance to pathogen in fish. From 2008 to 2012, I worked in the Guangzhou Institute of Biomedicine and Health, Chinese Academy of Sciences as research assistant. My projects include the role of HIF (hypoxia inducible factor) pathway in renal cancer development; cilia regulation via HIF pathway; HIF targets screening via high throughput sequencing (RNA-seq, miRNA-seq and ChIP-seq); MicroRNA regulation by HIF; the role of vitamin C in treatment of renal cancer; mouse, pig and human iPSC (induced pluripotent stem cell) generation and characterization; the role of hypoxia in pluripotency maintenance; target gene knockout in human pluripotent stem cells with ZFN (zinc finger nuclease) and Talen. From 2012 to 2016, I studied in the University of Hong Kong as PhD student. My projects include target gene knockout and correction in human pluripotent stem cells with Talen and Cas9; cardiomyocytes differentiation from pluripotent stem cells; cardiomyocytes characterization by calcium transient, action potential analysis; cardiac progenitor cells in cardiac regeneration after myocardial infarction; induced cardiac progenitor cells from skin fibroblasts through somatic reprogramming; humanized mice construction with human CD34+ HSC from cord blood. From 2017, I am working in SZU, my projects mainly focus on the mesenchymal stem cell biology and their therapeutic applications combined with the gene therapy.
