个人简介

袁岩，男，1982年毕业于山东大学生物系，1985年于中国科学院上海细胞生物学研究所获硕士学位，1991年于美国贝勒医学院获博士学位，1991年至1996年于美国耶鲁大学师从Sidney Altman教授（1989年诺贝尔奖获得者）从事博士后研究工作，1997年起，在美国宾夕法尼亚大学口腔医学院微生物系先后任助理教授、副教授和正教授。2010年12月任中山大学医学院人类病毒研究所教授、博导。

研究领域

从事病毒分子生物学研究十多年，在宾夕法尼亚大学任教期间率领一个具有国际领先水平的KSHV病毒学研究团队，其研究成果在以下几个病毒学领域中处于国际权威或领先地位：1. 世界上首次发现多个KSHV的即早基因（immediate-early genes）并研究了其相关的功能；2. 系统的研究KSHV对宿主抗病毒机理，尤其是对干扰素抗病毒作用的反制和逃匿；3. KSHV DNA复制的研究及抗病毒药物的筛选；4. KSHV病毒颗粒的结构、组装和成熟。
