We constantly update our behavioral repertoire by linking information about past, present and future expected reinforcing events through a complex interplay of neural activity operating on millisecond timescales. Our group seeks to understand the dynamics of networks of simultaneously recorded neurons in the basal ganglia and input regions during reward-guided behaviors and learning.
