个人简介

Dr Senior obtained her bachelor of dentistry degree from the University of Newcastle (UK) in 1992. After house officer positions in pediatrics, oral surgery, radiology and removable prosthetics she joined the Community Dental Service. For the next 9 years she provided dental care to mainly children and special care adult populations, including treatments under sedation and general anesthetic. Her work also included participation in national screening surveys, clinical audit and clinical governance issues. During this time Dr Senior was a part-time undergraduate dental student instructor in the department of pediatric dentistry at University of Newcastle upon Tyne and she provided dental care in the pediatric trauma clinic and as part of the cleft lip and palate multidisciplinary team. In 2003 she completed a 3-year postgraduate diploma from the University of Bristol (UK) in Pediatric Dentistry, Special Care Dentistry and Oral Health and Disease. Dr Senior joined the university of Alberta in 2003, teaching part-time in the division of pediatric dentistry. She was awarded the “Dentistry Professor of the year Award” by the University of Alberta Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, Dental Students Association in 2007/2008. She currently is a full-time Clinical Associate professor in the radiology department and teaches dental radiography and radiology to all years of the DDS and Dental Hygiene undergraduate programs. She co-chairs the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry Academic Standing Committee, and is a member of the School of Dentistry’s Student Affairs Committee, Curriculum Committee, and Search and Selection Committee. Dr. Seniors interests include digital radiography, development of an electronic radiology laboratory manual and student affairs.
