Organic Chemistry

Main research in our group is to create new foldamers (unnatural oligomers) that can mimic structures and functions of biopolymers such as peptides and nucleic acids. Foldamer research is motivated by many different goals ranging from and emerging diseases to the design of new materials for use in bionanotechnology.
