With the rising concerns over the environment and the need for sustainable energy sources, the development of renewable energy technologies, including high-efficiency catalysis and high-energy rechargable batteries, is becoming increasingly important. The research in Wang Group is currently focused on exploring highly efficient catalysts for very important catalytic reactions, including carbon dioxide reduction, water splitting, fuel cell electrocatalysis, and so on. Combining with Li ion battery technologies, we developed very effective "electrochemical tuning" method to significantly improve the activities of those catalysts. The catalysis results and findings can also inspire and benefit the research of next-generation Li ion batteries.
