Physical Chemistry

We are interested in molecular structure and dynamics of chemical reactions. Chemical reactions such as photodissociation, isomerizatin, or ionization are investigated at the molecular level using the molecular beam and various laser technologies. Understanding chemical reactions at the moleculer level will lead to control of chemical reactions using, for example, conformer selection, quantum-state selection, or coherent excitation. We are also developing state-of-the-art scientific technologies including the time-resolved electron microscopy for unraveling structural and electrostatic changes of nano-materials in real time.
