The Raheem laboratory focuses on antimalarial and antitubercular drug discovery using metabolomics technologies. Our current interests lie in the development of novel thioredoxin reductase inhibitors. We also have a strong interest in Programmed cell death pathways in plasmodium blood stage to elucidate drug models of action and mechanism of resistance as well as Natural products chemistry.
