个人简介

Katherine was appointed at Sheffield Hallam University in 2008, teaching anatomy and physiology subjects across Biosciences and Health courses. She hold a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences, Post Graduate Certificate in Education and a PhD from the University of Sheffield. She is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

研究领域

Katherine's research interests are in cardiovascular physiology and endocrinology. Her PhD at the University of Sheffield explored "The Effects of Testosterone and Calcium Channel Blockers on Vascular Muscle Cell Apoptosis" with their implications in atherosclerotic plaque stability. The research which she has been involved in has been presented both nationally and internationally, through abstracts, papers and meetings. During her career at Sheffield Hallam Univerity, Katherine's focus has been in teaching and she is the current admissions tutor and outreach lead for the Department of Biosciences and Chemistry. She is also one of the department leads for learning, teaching and assessment, helping to lead on innovations in practice.
