My research is multidisciplinary, spread across the fields of Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Biology and Nanotechnology. Current research is focussed primarily around the development of efficient supported noble metal nanoparticle catalysts for hydrogen production from renewable sources, and the fabrication and characterisation of smart optical coatings (in particular bioinspired photonic crystal thin films) for optoelectronic and sensing applications.
