个人简介

Dr. Liangzhi Kou received his Ph.D. in 2011 from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He was an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow at the Bremen Center of Computational Materials Sciences (BCCMS) in Germany during 2012–2014, a Research Associate at UNSW Australia in 2014, and an ARC-DECRA fellow during 2015–2018. He has been a Lecturer at Queensland University of Technology since 2015 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2021. His research mainly focuses on computational discovery and design of novel 2D materials for energy applications and 2D topological insulators. 09.2006~10.2011:Graduate student at Institute of NanoScience (INS), Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) 03.2010~01.2011: Visiting scholar, in the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) with Prof. Changfeng Chen. 10.2011: got PhD degree. 03.2012~11.2014: Alexander von Humboldt research fellow, worked with Professor Thomas Frauenheim at University of Bremen in Bremen Center of Computational Materials Science (BCCMS). 11.2014~07.2015: Postdoctoral Fellow working with Prof. Sean Smith of UNSW, Australia 07.2015—: Lecturer, ARC DECRA fellow in QUT

研究领域

As a computational material scientist, Dr. Liangzhi Kou is working on the prediction of novel electronic, mechanical and magnetic properties of two-dimensional materials, and exploration of their application in energy conversion (catalytic CO2 reduction, water splitting and so on), environmental pollution reduction (toxic gas sensing and capture) and nanoelectronics.
