个人简介

Stella Christie 2004年毕业于哈佛大学,获得心理学学士学位,2010年在美国西北大学获得认知心理学博士学位,随后在英属哥伦比亚大学作为博士后继续科学研究。2012年加入斯沃斯莫尔学院担任助理教授并于2018年晋升为长聘副教授,期间曾到斯坦福大学进行访问交流。2018年,Stella Christie受聘清华大学心理学系长聘副教授,并创建和领导清华大学心理系儿童认知研究中心,同时也担任清华大学脑与智能实验室的首席研究员。2022年,Stella Christie受聘为清华大学心理学系长聘教授。 Stella Christie博士是认知科学家,尤其关注认知发展与学习过程,主要研究内容为类比推理的形成与发展,包括语言习得、空间智力、数的概念、社会认知以及创造性问题解决能力等。她的数篇研究发表于高影响力学术期刊。2016年,Stella Christie博士被提名为认知科学界最负盛名的奖项之一,James McDonnell Understanding Human Cognition奖。 教育背景 1999-2004 哈佛大学 心理学学士 magna cum laude with highest honors 2004-2010 西北大学 认知心理学博士 工作履历 2010-2012 英属哥伦比亚大学 博士后 2012-2018 斯沃斯莫尔学院助理教授 2018 斯沃斯莫尔学院长聘副教授 2015-2016 斯坦福大学 访问学者 2018 至今 清华大学 长聘副教授 脑与智能实验室首席研究员 清华大学THBI儿童认知研究中心创始人

研究领域

为什么人类比其他动物聪明?我的假设是人类可从事物的表象发现背后的逻辑关系和规律。小到理解一个简单的词汇如“妈妈”,大到数学运算和看地图,这些都基于对关系的了解和思考。我的研究目标为深入探索关系思维,具体分为以下三个方面: (1)初始阶段:人类和其他动物掌握了哪些关系? (2)方法和工具:如何通过学习方法和工具提高思考关系的能力? (3)应用:社会关系。我们如何理解和处理复杂的社会关系? 通过对儿童和类人猿的研究,我们实验室发现了人类和其他动物在关系认知方面的相似和差异之处。最终,我希望在初始阶段,通过使用学习方法和工具—语言和对比,来提升人们的思维能力。
