Develop new functional inorganic nanomaterials using wet chemical synthesis methods. Explore novel nanostructured materials (nanocrystals, thin films) for application in sensing, energy harvesting and storage, plasmonics, optoelectronics and catalysis. Understand the effect of synthesis conditions, dopants and deposition parameters on the optoelectronic properties of thin films prepared from nanocrystal inks. Develop scalable processes for the synthesis of large quantities of nanocrystals and for the deposition of large area thin film coatings. Fabricate thin film devices at low temperatures for flexible electronics. Investigate novel nanomaterials for next-generation technologies.
