My research interests focus on electroanalytical chemistry, including the development of novel electrochemical sensing platforms based on carbon/metal nanomaterials and the exploration of the analytical utility of electrochemistry at liquid-liquid interfaces. My current project is "Nanoscale liquid interfaces: behaviour and molecular sensitivity (ARC DP130102040)". The research emphasis is the miniaturisation of liquid-liquid interfaces down to the nanoscale, which offers numerous opportunities for chemical and biochemical sensing. Thus nanopore arrays are under development to study the electrochemical behavior of biological macromolecules of relevance in nanomedicine as disease biomarkers.
