Medical Physiology

Recent epidemiological evidence indicates that the quality of life in utero influences the development of adult disease eg hypertension, cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Karen's research is concerned with renal development, cardiovascular development and the renin angiotensin system. IShe is particularly interested in the interaction between programming and lifestyle factors in the development of hypertension and renal disease.
