个人简介

2015-current: Associate Lecturer, School of BABS 2013-2014: Postdoctoral Research Associate, Morris Lab, School of BABS 2005-2011: PhD (Biotechnology) candidate, School of BABS 2002: BSc (Hons) Class 1, School of BABS

研究领域

In recent years my research has focused on the elucidation of mechanisms by which antisense long non-coding RNAs modulate gene expression in human cells, and the application of antisense non-coding RNAs to regulate transcription of HIV-1 and genes involved in cancer. My aim is to continue research toward understanding the epigenetic mechanisms that regulate transcriptional events involved in cancer development and progression; specifically, the role of exosome-associated long non-coding RNAs in the regulation of genes involved in human breast cancer. As an experienced teacher, I would like to apply my knowledge and expertise to develop innovative laboratory classes and unique practices of teaching that will inspire and engage students across all undergraduate courses within the School of BABS. I am passionate about teaching and would like to establish myself as a driving force to improve the quality of teaching within the School.
