The new arginine derivatives Fmoc-Arg^ω,ω′(Boc)₂ -OH and Z-Arg^ω,ω′ (Boc)₂ -OH have been easily prepared in hiqh yield starting from Z-Orn-OH and N,N′-bis (tert-butoxycarbonyl) -S-methylisothiourea.
