Ying Zu Associate Professor at SJTU Survey Astrophysics

I am currently an associate professor at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a tenured fellow at Tsung-Dao Lee Insitute. I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Astronomy from Nanjing University and PhD in Astronomy from the Ohio State University. Before joining Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2017, I was a postdoc researcher at the McWilliams Center for Cosmology of the Carnegie Mellon University (2013-2016) and a long-term fellow at the Center for Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics of OSU (2016-2017). My main reserach interest is in the area of Cosmology and Galaxy Formation, with a particular focus on the intersection between galaxy surveys and theoretical astrophysics.

We are working on cutting-edge research topics at the frontier of cosmology and galaxy formation, driven by the many on-going and next-generation galaxy surveys - our group is a member of DESI and PFS, and is leading the cluster cosmology program in CSST and JUST.
