Shuyu Zhang Professor, Doctoral Supervisor Radiation Medicine Laboratory

Professor, Chief Scientist of Key Laboratory of Medical Translation of Nuclear Technology, National Health Commission. He has long been engaged in research on tumor radiosensitivity mechanisms and nuclear radiation damage prevention strategies. He has presided over 5 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and 6 projects at the provincial and ministerial levels. He has published more than 100 SCI papers, with more than 50 papers as first author or corresponding author. in 2015, he was awarded the Outstanding Young Scientist Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China; he has been selected as a young talent of China Nuclear Industry Corporation (former Ministry of Nuclear Industry), Sichuan High-level Talent Program, Sichuan Technical and Academic Leader and Sichuan Outstanding Young Scientist. He serves as an editorial board member of Oncol Res、Biologics, Exp Ther Med, Chinese Journal of Radiology and Protection,and International Journal of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. He has served as an expert in the review of Science and Technology Awards of the Ministry of Education, National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) merit, surface, and youth fund projects. He has obtained 15 Chinese invention patents and 3 US invention patents; edited 2 monographs. He has guided students to win the gold medal in the provincial competition and the silver medal in the national finals of the "Internet+" Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. He has won the second prize from the Ministry of Education, the second prize from the China Radiation Protection Society, and the first prize from the Sichuan Provincial Teaching Achievement for his research achievements.
