Wenjie Tao Principle Investigator Tao group @ QIBEBT
Prof. Dr. Wenjie Tao joined Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology, CAS from December of 2022 and is establishing the fundamental group of Polymer chemistry and Catalysis. Wenjie obtained his bechelor's degree from Nanjing University in 2008 and Ph.D. degree from Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry in 2013 under the supervision of Prof. Yong Tang. From 2014 to 2022, Wenjie performed postdoctoral research in Prof. Kyoko Nozaki's group in The University of Tokyo and Prof. Shiyu Zhang's group in Ohio State University. Prof. Tao's group will focus on polymer chemistry, e.g. polyolefin catalyst design and application and bio-inspired inorganic chemistry.

The Tao lab takes organometallic chemistry as the research core and is interested in application-driven research, specifically the development of high-performance rubber elastomer materical and biomimetic activation and transformation of green house gas molecules.
