Shan Tang Tenure-track associate professor (PI) Frontiers Science Center for Transformative Molecules, Shanghai Jiao Tong University
Shan was born in Xiaogan, Hubei, China. He received his B.S. degree in 2012 and Ph.D. degree in 2017 at Wuhan University under the supervision of Prof. Aiwen Lei. After completing his Ph.D., he joined the group of Prof. David Milstein at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel as a postdoctoral fellow from 2017 to 2020. After that, he continued postdoctoral research at the University of Tokyo in Japan with Prof. Kyoko Nozaki from 2020 to 2021. In the end of 2021, he stared his independent research at Shanghai Jiao Tong University as a tenue-track associate professor. He now works on the development of green methods for the synthesis of sustainable polymers.
