Shenqiang Wang is a Gusu Leading Talent in Innovation and Entrepreneurship and a recipient of the Jiangsu Provincial Youth Science and Technology Talent Development Program. He obtained his bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and Technology from Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2014 and his Ph.D. in Materials Science in 2021. He has conducted research as a visiting scholar and postdoctoral fellow in the research group of Professor Ki-Bum Lee at Rutgers University (USA) and in the group of Professor Zhen Gu at the School of Pharmacy, Zhejiang University. In December 2023, he was appointed as a Distinguished Professor at the School of Pharmacy, Soochow University, where he founded the Laboratory of Intelligent Drug Delivery and currently serves as its principal investigator. His research focuses on the design and development of intelligent drug delivery systems, aiming to achieve precise, efficient, and low-toxicity treatment for major diseases. He serves as the principal investigator for multiple projects, including the General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Gusu Innovation and Entrepreneurship Leading Talent Program, and several university-industry collaborative projects. To date, he has published over 20 SCI-indexed papers. Among them, 14 first-author or corresponding-author articles have been published in top-tier journals in the field, including Nature Cancer, Nature Electronics, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, National Science Review, Nano Letters, and Biomaterials, all with impact factors exceeding 10. Three of his publications are listed as ESI Highly Cited Papers. He holds 7 authorized Chinese invention patents and was awarded the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of Shaanxi Province. He also serves as a young editorial board member for journals such as VIEW, Exploration, and Burns & Trauma.
