Personal biography:

Professor Hainan Sun is a professor at the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Nantong University, a Jiangsu Specially-Appointed Professors, and a master's supervisor. Professor Sun also serves as a Jianghai Talent in Nantong City. Dr. Sun received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Nanjing Tech University in 2020 (under the supervision of Professors Zhou Wei and Shao Zongping). From 2020 to 2023, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher and research assistant professor at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) (in collaboration with Professor WooChul Jung). In January 2024, professor Sun joined the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Nantong University. In recent years, Professor Sun has focused on research in clean energy catalytic materials and devices. He has published over 50 papers in prestigious domestic and international journals as the first author and corresponding author, including Advanced Energy Materials (2), Advanced Functional Materials (2), InfoMat (1), Carbon Energy (2), Applied Catalysis B: Environmental (1), Advanced Science (1), Energy & Environmental Materials (1), Journal of Materials Chemistry A (2), Chemistry of Materials (1), Small (1), Small Methods (1), Chemical Engineering Journal (1), ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces (2), ChemsusChem (2), and Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research (1). His papers have been cited more than 3200 times in total. He serves as a Young Editorial Board Member for Carbon Energy, InfoMat, Advanced Powder Materials, Tunstgen and other journals.
