Dong-Po Song Prof. School of Materials Science and Engineering, Tianjin University
Dongpo Song is a professor at School of Materials Science and Engineering, Tianjin University. In 2012, he received his PhD. from Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, under the tutelage of Prof. Li Yuesheng; From 2012 to 2017, he did postdoctoral research at University of Massachusetts and University of Cambridge; From 2017 to 2018, he became a professor at Shandong University and transferred to Tianjin University in November 2018, selected as National Youth Talent，Tianjin Leading Talents and Yingcai professor of Tianjin University. In past 5 years, he has undertaken 4 national-level projects including National Key R&D Program (1), National Natural Science Foundation of China General Project (2) and Science&Technology Innovation Project. The research group focus on optical functional polymer materials, start from the molecular structure design and precise synthesis of polymer materials, regulate the micro-nano structure of polymer materials, obtain functionally customized optical materials and explore the application in environment-friendly photonic pigments, biomedical testing and information storage. He has published more than 40 SCI research articles in such as JACS (3), Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. (5), Adv. Mat. (2), ACS Nano (5), Macromolecules (10), has applied for 2 US patents, 1 UK patent, 20 CN patents (10 authorized), and has won the first prize for scientific and technological progress of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation.
