Zhengdong Zhao Principal Investgator Neurobiology of Motivation
Dr. Zhengdong Zhao obtained PhD from ShanghaiTech University/China Academy of Sciences. He completed his postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School/Boston Children's Hospital. In August 2023, he joined the Songjiang Research Institute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine as a Principal Investigator. His lab studies neural mechanisms of motivated behaviors, particularly, he focuses on brain- peripheral interactions in regulating eating and alcohol drinking behaviors. He published several research papers in highly-regarded journals, including Nature Neuroscience, Science Advances, and PNAS. These studies were commended by experts in the fields and were cited more than 700 times.
