Guoting Zhang
Assistant Professor
Department of Chemistry Fudan University
Guoting Zhang is an Assistant Professor and Ph.D. supervisor at the Department of Chemistry, Fudan University. He was selected for a national young talent program. Dr. Zhang received his B.Sc. in Chemistry from Fuzhou University in 2013. He obtained his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Wuhan University in 2018 under the supervision of Prof. Aiwen Lei. He then conducted postdoctoral research at Stanford University (2018–2021) with Prof. Barry M. Trost and at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) (2021–2024) with Prof. Nicolai Cramer. He joined the faculty at Fudan University in March 2025. His research focuses on photocatalysis and electrocatalysis, asymmetric catalysis, and the total synthesis of natural products. He is committed to developing green and efficient catalytic methodologies to address challenges in stereocontrol and synthetic efficiency for the construction of complex molecules. Dr. Zhang has authored 15 publications as first or co-first author in leading journals including Science, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, and Nature Communications. His work has been cited over 3,700 times, with an H-index of 25 (Google Scholar).
