Our group is based in the State Key Laboratory of Green Pesticide of Guizhou University (http://gpabl.gzu.edu.cn/) and maintains strong collaborative relationships with universities, research institutes, and companies in related fields both domestically and internationally.

Our research focuses on green pesticide R&D, molecular target discovery, and agricultural pest management. We aim to create novel, eco-friendly, and efficient agrochemicals through rational molecular design, activity testing, and toxicological evaluation. Utilizing advanced molecular biology techniques, we delve deeply into their mechanisms of action and identify potential molecular targets. Our goal is to contribute viable molecular entities and potential new pesticide targets for the sustainable control of agricultural pests.

The group has established a comprehensive bioactivity testing system for screening highly active pesticide molecules:

  1.  Agricultural Insect Bioassay: for pests such as Chilo suppressalis, Spodoptera frugiperda, Plutella xylostella, aphids, planthoppers, thrips, nematodes, and others.

  2.  Agricultural Pathogenic Bacteria Bioassay: for pathogens such as Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae, Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzicola, Xanthomonas citri subsp. citri, Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris, Pseudomonas pseudoalcaligenes subsp. citrulli, Pseudomonas syringae pv. lachrymans, Pseudo-monas solanacearum, Ralstonia solanacearum, Erwinia carotovora subsp, and Xanthomonas campestris pv. pruni, among others.

  3.  Agricultural Virus Bioassay: for viruses such as Potato virus Y, Cucumber mosaic virus, Tomato spotted wilt virus, Tobacco mosaic virus, Southern rice black-streaked dwarf virus, Tomato chlorosis virus, and Pepper mild mottle virus, among others.

  4.  Agricultural Weed Bioassay: for weeds such as Amaranthus retrof lexus, Abutilon theophrasti, Veronica polita, Echinochloa crusgalli, Digitaria sanguinalis, and Setaria viridis, among others.
