1. New Theory and Technology in the Design of Healthy Cities

With the rapid development of global urbanization, urban environment has an important impact on human health and sustainable development. In response to the call of WHO's global "Healthy City" campaign and the need for urban disease transmission prevention and control in the epidemic era, we propose new theories and strategic technologies for healthy cities.

2. Early Life Exposure and Children's Health

Focusing on the core scientific issue of "the impact of the ecological environment on the health of the next generation" in the global development strategy of "sustainable human development" and the national development strategy of "healthy China", the research on the impact of early life (pregnancy) pollution exposure on children's postnatal health was first carried out internationally, and the important role and key evidence of indoor and outdoor air pollution in the occurrence and development of children's diseases (allergies and infections) were found, The achievements have enriched and developed the theory of "disease fetal origin DOHaD", and put forward a new scientific strategy (reducing pollution exposure during pregnancy) to solve the problem of rapidly increasing children's allergic diseases, significantly reduce the heavy burden of global children's diseases, and effectively prevent and reduce children's diseases.

3. Health Risks of New Air Pollutants

In the face of such key scientific problems as unclear understanding of complex organic components and unknown toxic components in the environment, as well as the major strategic needs of national new pollutant treatment, relevant work was carried out around "new pollutant exposure and human health effects". On the one hand, the concentration levels, distribution characteristics, sources, migration and transformation laws of emerging or newly concerned pollutants in outdoor and indoor multi environmental matrices were studied, and the human exposure level and health effects were evaluated. On the other hand, the use of suspected target or non target screening strategies to identify previously undetected new pollutants in the atmosphere has broken through the understanding of existing organic components in the atmosphere, providing data support and guidance for improving existing environmental risk management and control, and achieving the strategic goals of "healthy China" and "beautiful China".

4. Brain Health and Environmental Factors

Brain science is a science that studies the nature and laws of brain cognition, consciousness and intelligence. It is called the "ultimate domain" of human understanding of nature and human itself. However, at present, our understanding and cognition of the brain is very limited. The global incidence rate of brain diseases is rising rapidly, and the burden of brain diseases has increased significantly. It has become a major problem that seriously endangers human health, economic development and social sustainable development, and has received high attention from the government, the public and the scientific community. For brain diseases, early diagnosis is crucial. Analyzing the pathogenesis of important brain diseases such as childhood autism/adolescent depression/Alzheimer's disease in the elderly, and searching for reliable biomarkers for early diagnosis are hot spots and keys in this field, which have great scientific value and significance for early detection, early diagnosis and early diagnosis of brain diseases.

5. Group Analysis for Environment Health

In order to solve the problem of high incidence of diseases related to environmental pollution and serve the health of the whole people, the research on environmental pollution causes and pathogenesis of typical diseases was carried out by using omics technology. Based on the health problems of some susceptible populations, observational and intervention research programs were designed during the critical exposure window period, and key toxic factors and risk drivers in complex environmental pollution were identified by combining multiple statistical analysis. Through exposure omics, genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics and other multi omics analysis, the complex interaction between human external exposure and internal reactions is revealed, so as to better understand how environmental factors, microbial components and chemical stressors affect human health at the individual and population levels, and provide scientific basis and theoretical basis for proposing effective prevention and intervention measures and assisting precision medical research.

6. Health Improvement

The world is rapidly entering an "aging society". With the current COVID-19 epidemic raging, the social health crisis caused by aging has initially emerged. In the face of such health crisis, we put forward new health strategies based on the concept of "active health" to help improve the health level of the whole people and realize the global strategy of sustainable human development and the "Healthy China 2030".
