Hong-Shuang Li Associate Professor Metal-Catalyzed Synthetic Methodology and Rational Drug Design
Hong-Shuang Li was born in 1986 in Liaocheng, Shandong province of China. He obtained his B.Sc. from Taishan Medical University in 2007 and M.Sc. from Shenyang Pharmaceutical University in 2010, respectively. He completed his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Institute of Materia Medica, Peking Union Medical College in January 2014. After working in the pharmaceutical industry for one year, he joined School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Shandong First Medical University in January 2015. In 2018, he spent eight months on the rhodium-catalyzed hydroacylation as a visiting scholar in Prof. Guozhu Zhang’s group at Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His current interests mainly focus on transition-metal-catalyzed synthetic methodology and rational drug design.

Our group has been focusing on developing transition-metal-catalyzed synthetic methodologies and rational drug design, especially on the Rh(I)-catalyzed C−C coupling reactions with innovative achievements obtained. So far, we have published almost 20 articles, including ACS Catalysis, Organic Letters, Advanced Synthesis & Catalysis, Organic Chemistry Frontiers, The Journal of Organic Chemistry, etc.
