Renyuan LI Professor School of Marine Sciences, Ningbo University
Renyuan Li obtained his Ph.D. degree from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in 2019, he is now a Full Professor at the School of Marine Sciences, Ningbo University. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the School of Environmental Science and Technology, Dalian University of Technology Professor Renyuan Li mainly focuses on the development of novel environmental functional materials under a multidisciplinary background. His research interests include the utilization of alternative water resources driven by clean energy, water purification、and collection & conversion of water contaminants into available resources, as well as the development of water-energy co-production processes and systems. Prof. Li has more than 40 publications, 11 of which are ranked as ESI highly-cited papers. Professor Li has a h-index of 36, and his research works have been cited more than 9,500 times. He has first-authored or corresponding-authored 16 papers in top journals such as Nature Sustainability, Nature Water, Advanced Materials, ACS Nano, Environmental Science & Technologies, etc., and his research works have been reported by more than hundreds of mainstream media across the globe. He has gained 1 authorized Chinese patent and 2 authorized USA patents. He is currently serving as the Youth Editorial Board Member of Nano-Micro Letters (IF 36.3) and Young Career Advisory Board member of EcoMat( IF 12.6). He is also serving as the invited reviewer of top journals such as Nature Sustainability, Nature Water, Joule, Nano Letters, ES&T, etc.

The research group is primarily dedicated to the study of environmental functional materials within the framework of interdisciplinary integration, focusing on the theoretical foundations of new water resource utilization, water purification, and the resource utilization of water pollutants driven by clean energy; as well as the development and promotion of technologies for the synergistic production and application of water and energy.
