Jiaqi Wang Assistant Professor Peptides, making a better life and world
Dr. Wang Jiaqi is currently a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at The University of Hong Kong, specializing in AI-driven therapeutic protein/peptide design through molecular simulations. He earned his B.S. from Jiangsu University (2015) and Ph.D. in Computational Materials Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (2020). Previously, he held positions as Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Assistant Professor at Westlake University (2020-2023) and Assistant Professor at Wisdom Lake Academy of Pharmacy, Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University's(2023-2025). With over 20 first/corresponding-author publications in top-tier journals including Advanced Materials, Nature Communications, Advanced Science, JACS Au, etc., he has also secured competitive funding as Principal Investigator for projects including the NSFC Young Scientist Program, Zhejiang Postdoctoral Excellence Grant, and Jiangsu Provincial Science Program. His research focuses on developing molecular simulation and AI-integrated computational biomedicine technologies.
