The research area of our group is focused on the synthesis and application of functional carbon dots (CDs). We use sol-gel method, hydrothermal and solvothermal syntheses, high temperature calcination, ultrasonication, microwave digestion, etc., to prepare a wide range of carbon dots. We have designed and constructed various composite materials using these carbon dots, and applied them in fields such as electrochemical energy storage, fluorescence analysis, biological labeling, and drug release.
